In the inception of year Google announced to combine its different payment services into a single entity. As a result Android Pay and Google Wallet have been ditched in the effort to make a single Google Pay app. In the coming future, all Google products are to support it, including Chrome and Assistant, also to be widely accepted on various websites.
The payment solution has two tabs namely: Home and Cards. Home shows your recent purchases, nearby stores, rewards, and helpful tips. Cards has a self-descriptive name, showing various cards, loyalty rewards and points.
Google Pay aims to provide a much better payment solution than its predecessors or competitors. Right now it works for transit fares in London, Portland, and Kiev with more cities promised soon. In the next few months you’ll be able to send and receive money in the US and the UK via Google Pay which meanwhile is provided by the Google Wallet.
